Yisroel Mossberg

Yisroel Mossberg is a Hasidic Jewish artist whose work includes portraiture and abstraction. His current selection at Prestige Judaica Gallery brings together close views of faces, figures with books, and a freer composition built around colour and gesture.

The portraits offer different ways of looking at a sitter: a hand resting at the forehead, a face set against shelves of books, or a figure holding an open volume. Two Figures — An Abstract Study places recognizable forms within broader passages of blue, cream, pink and red. Together, the selection introduces two sides of his work without reducing his practice to a single style.
